The wheel-chair has a vertically adjustable and automatically operated seat (1), two large coaxial back wheels (2), at least two small front wheels (3), and foot-rest (4) in front of the front wheels. The foot-rest, in one piece or two halves, has at least one roller (5) whose underside is vertically higher than the underside of the front wheels but lower than the underside of the foot-rest. A shopping-basket (7) is detachably fixed to the front of the wheel-chair.
