Ceramic slip comprises a ceramic starting powder, a solvent and a binder. The solvent and binder are water-soluble or from an emulsion or dispersion in water. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of the slip comprising homogenizing the starting powder and then adding the binder and solvent so that a ceramic slip is produced, preferably in a dissolver during and/or after the second step of the process.
