<p>A one piece cable tie (11) includes an elongated flexible strap (12) having a first recessed portion (25) formed in a top planar surface (21), a second recessed portion (27) formed in a bottom planar surface (23), a first set of ratchet-shaped teeth (29) formed within the first recessed portion and a second set of ratchet-shaped teeth (31) formed within the second recessed portion; a locking head (15) integrally formed to a first end (17) of the strap and including a strap accepting channel (49). A locking pawl (51) is pivotally connected to an inner channel wall (41) of the locking head to lockably engage at least one tooth on the strap and abuts against projections (70, 71) of the locking head to prevent withdrawal of a second end (19) of the strap from the locking head when the strap is inserted into the strap accepting channel (49) in through a first open end (50-1) or a second open end (50-2) of the channel.</p> |
