The trocar sleeve (1') has a tube (2) which is inserted in the body of the patient at its distal end (3), its proximal end (4) provided with an end fitting (6) having an opening corresponding to the tube cross-section for insertion of the operating instrument and a gas connection (42). The end fitting incorporates a filter (30) for filtering the gas supplied via the gas connection and for preventing fluids and/or solids in the interiror of the trocar sleeve from entering the gas connection.
