COLLAR TANK

A collar tank (10) includes a vessel (12) and a support structure (14) to which the vessel (12) is connected. The support structure (14) includes a pair of end frames (24, 26) and a pair of bottom rails (28) extending between the end frames (24, 26). The vessel (12) is connected to the end frames (24, 26) by skirts (40, 42). A hole (42) is provided in the skirt (40) to accommodate a discharge valve (22). The collar tank (10) includes strengthening in the form of reinforcing around the hole (44) and bracing members (52, 54) extending between the support structure (14) and the reinforcing.
