<p>A method and a device for expanding a tube material expanding the open end part of a work formed of a metal tube material with the work inclined relative to the axis thereof, wherein, in order to facilitate a tube expanding operation, a punch is disposed on the open end side of the work formed of the metal tube material and inserted from the open end of the work so as to expand the end part of the work, the punch (18) is inserted from the open end of the work at a specified angle relative to a tube axis A of the work (6) and, at the time of insertion of the punch (18), the punch (18) and/or the work (6) are moved in the direction of Y1-Y2 generally perpendicular to the forward and backward driving direction Z1-Z2 of the punch (18) so as to expand the work.</p> |
