Preparation of a polymer network (I) comprising (a) providing polymer(s) (II) which can be covalently or non-covalently, intermolecularly or intramolecularly crosslinked; (b) adapting the conformation of (II) to template compound(s) (III), to give (II) a preferred conformation; and (c) fixing the preferred conformation by crosslinking, is new. An Independent claim is included for the (I) obtained by the above process.
