The head lamp has a reflector (1), a light source and a control element (2) for adjusting the inclination of the reflector about a horizontal tilt axis perpendicular to the optical axis of the reflector, whereby the head lamp has a further adjustable component (6) for varying the light distribution in front of the motor vehicle. The head lamp component(s) is adjustable by the control element for inclination adjustment in connection with at least one coupling element (7) that acts at least indirectly between the control element and a head lamp component.
