The door (T) has a joggled edge with a sealing pad (D) which bears against a hollow rectangular-section post (P) at the edge of the wall (W). The bracket (11,13) on the wall is mounted close to the edge of the door, when it is closed, and has an elongated slot (14) at 90 degrees to the plane of the wall. The door has a simple hinge plate (41) with a curled-over end holding a hinge pin (2) which can turn and slide in the slot. The translational motion of the pin in the slit is controlled by a pinion on the pin engaging a rack on the bracket.
