The module (11) is a separate unit fitted into a through-load opening (13). It extends over the complete height (H) of the seat back (L), and also forms a holder structure for a head restraint (18). When not in use, the opening is covered by a fitting (29) e.g. an arm rest, and module and fitting together form the main seat back surface (S). The arm rest is pivoted between an operating position freeing the opening, and a rest position closing it.
