Process for producing of conditioned articles and apparatus for producing the same

Manufacturing an article includes heating a thermoplastic sheet placed across an opening of a mould, forming a preform by pushing the sheet into the mould using a piston and inflating the preform to form the article. The mould is made of several parts including a base. The parts are separated after forming the article leaving the article held by suction on the base. An Independent claim is included for the following: (a) A machine for manufacturing articles as above. Preferred Features: The moulded article on the mould base can be transferred to a conditioning station. The mould has channels for cooling fluid. Holes in the mould base let air escape from the mould when the preform is inflated.
