medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves sending rectangular pulses of negative or bipolar polarity through an active electrode alternatively applied to closed eyelid of the right and left eye. The pulses have amplitudes of 10-999 mcA and pulse succession rates of 1-75 Hz. The pulse duration is 1 to 250 ms. The pulses are grouped in packages containing 2-50 pulses with interval between the packages being equal to 1-50 s. The number of packages applied to an eyelid in one application is equal to 10-250 with the number of successions being equal to 4-20 and pause duration between the series being equal to 10-20 s. One or several phosphene characteristics being unsatisfied, treatment current amplitude is step-by-step increased by 100 mcA with a step equal to 10 mcA. Pulse succession frequency is lowered by 5-10 Hz with a step equal to 1 Hz. The number of pulses in a package is changed from 3 to 50, interval between the packages is increased from 1 to 50. Pulse duration is increased with step equal to 1 ms from 1- to 250 ms with the number of packages in a series being reduced from 30 to 10. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. |
