The gear is for a double screw extruder. Its casing (1) houses a first driven shaft (5) turned by a reduction gear and a second driven shaft (11) driven from the first, with two distribution shafts (9) on either side. The casing is joined at a parting line (18), comprising two directly-connected parts (19, 20). The line of division is vertical, and runs along the axis of the second shaft. The second driven shaft (11) and the distribution shafts (9) are located at the gap. The first driven shaft (5) is located in one casing half (20). The driving shaft (2) is located in the other (19). |
