PURPOSE: To shrink the vertical storage space of a slide door drive unit and manually operate a slide door when a planetary gear mechanism fails. CONSTITUTION: The first and second planetary gear mechanisms are installed around a transmission shaft 30 rotatively driven by a motor 18 via the first rotation transmission mechanism 31 at the position apart in the lateral direction from the motor 18 on a base 22. A drive roller 19 and a guide roller 21 pinching a part of a guide rail are installed on the base 22 near the tip section of an arm 13 connected rotatably centering on the transmission shaft 30. The first internal gear 5 of the first planetary gear mechanism is connected to the third drive pulley 4 of the second rotation transmission mechanism 32, and the second internal gear 2 is connected to the arm 13 integrally rotatably and removably. When the second internal gear 12 is removed from the arm 13, the drive roller 19 and the arm 13 can be rotated at the time of a failure of one of the first and second planetary gear mechanisms. |
