PURPOSE:To provide the electronic musical instrument which prevents an unnecessary additional sound from being produced and enables a natural musical performance. CONSTITUTION:This electronic musical instrument is equipped with object sound variation detection means S11 and S12 which detect variation of an object sound where an additional sound is added, a chord change detecting means S13 which detects a chord change, an elapsed time measuring means which measures elapsed times from the start of generation of respective musical sounds, control means S14 and S15 which control the generation of an additional sound signal according to the elapsed time from the sound generation start of the addition object sound when at least one of the object sound variation detection means and chord change detection means detect the variation or change, and an added sound signal generation means S16 which generates the added sound signal under the control of the control means. |
