PURPOSE:To obtain an address generation processing method in which the occurrence of system destruction due to the address fault of a task is prevented, in the maintenance of a main storage in a computer. CONSTITUTION:At the time of adding an offset address to a prescribed base address, generating an absolute address, and performing an access to a task area, a value which is not beyond the leading absolute address of a task area, within an assigned area, and not beyond the absolute address obtained by subtracting the maximum value of an offset address from the end absolute address of the assigned area, is designated as a base address (1), and a difference between the base address and the leading absolute address of the task area is designated as a leading offset address (2). Then, at the time of performing the access from the task to a main storage area, a value obtained by adding an in-task area relative offset address to the leading offset address is added to the base address, and the absolute address is generated (3). |
