A crosslinkable adhesive film is new, comprises at least one film layer comprising a polymer and a hardener, and at least one other layer containing a crosslinking catalyst An adhesive film, which is crosslinkable at a specified temperature and is used for counter-adhesion lamination, especially for thermal lamination of identical or different substrates (S1 and S2), between which the film is inter-disposed. The film consists of at least one layer (A) in the form of a film comprising at least one thermo-adhesive base and including at least one polymer with reactive nucleophilic and/or electrophilic groups. The film also contains at least one hardener having reactive groups complementary to those of the polymer, and at least one layer (B) containing at least one catalyst of the crosslinking process between the polymer and hardener of the layer (A). The layers (A) and (B) are assembled at a temperature lower than the temperature of crosslinking of the hardener and the polymer in layer (A), and preferably lower (by 10-30 deg C) than the melting point of the hardener. The hardener is present in layer (A) in a solid state, in the form of a polymer-based homogeneous solid dispersion, to make sure that the hardener is physically blocked. The layer (A) can be (i) in the form of a film, with layer (B) spray-powdered onto its surface; (ii) both (A) and (B) are in the form of a film and are laminated together either directly by heating, or using an adhesive; or (iii) both layers A and B are assembled together by co-extrusion. The thickness of layer A is 10-30 microns, and layer B is 5-15 microns. An Independent claim is also included for the process of lamination of the two elements, comprising assembling the elements together, with at least one adhesive film as claimed interposed between them, and heating the assembly to bring the adhesive film to the temperature higher than the melting point of the hardener.
