Valve connector activating pin that opens Schrader type valve movable within connector body

A connector for connecting a tire pump to different types of tire valves includes a pin 161 for activating the valve stem of a Schrader-type valve. The pin is movable from the retracted position 18 of Fig 4A within the connector housing to an activated position 32 of Fig 4B closer to the connector opening 5 so that it will depress the pin of a Schrader valve when the connector is fitted to the valve. When the pin is retracted the connector can be fitted to other valve types (Dunlop or Presta). The pin may be moved by rotation of the knob 162 or by air pressure from the tire pump.
