Filler strands extending in the cable length direction are placed on the outside of the three conductors in order to give the cable its desired shape. The outer mantle of the cable comprises inner and outer layers separated by an electrically conductive metal foil. The voltage between the metal foil and the electrically conductive shield around the inside of the mantle can be measured in order to test the mantle. |
