The arrangement has boards (10) with LEDs connected in a circuit via connecting elements and divisions between the boards enabling the formation of illumination units of different sizes and shapes. The connecting elements (20) have at least one electrical wiring conductor via which the circuits on adjacent boards are electrically connected together. An Independent claim is also included for a plug connector for connecting circuit boards.
