The invention relates to an improved cap consisting of a metal capsule that is fitted by its contour in a peripheral slot on the neck of a bottle or the like. The invention is characterized in that the cap has a transversally marked groove enabling manual folding of the cap by the lines of said slot thereby making it possible to remove the cap and open the bottle. In a section opposite said transversal slot, the cap has an extension of the lower edge of the contour forming an appendage serving as a pull tab to facilitate the manual folding operation of the cap, said appendage having a transversal curvature defining a lower concavity on which a finger can be supported to easily exert the necessary pressure to fold the cap.
