The arrangement has two pairs of valves (1,2) connected at their valve plates via connection bars (3). The bars are located on the outside of the valve plates. Drive via camshaft is on one valve shaft only. The second valve (2) has a short shaft, which is for guidance only, so that when the first valve is driven, it moves the second one via the connection bar. Valve pairs with connection bars are single modular part produced in a precision-casting process.
