A micro-dosing device has at least one print head (1) for ejecting at least one droplet (T). At least one pressurisable flushing device (4) is made available and through which the droplets (T) can travel. The flushing device (4) is a bell-valve (6) which comprises of at least one print head (1) and is specifically vertically displaceable. The flushing device (4) can be flushed or rinsed with a gas (G) having a density (p) less than 1.293 kg/m3 in the normal state. More specifically, helium can be used as the gas (G) the print head (1) specifically forms a part of an ink-jet printer.
