Incoming air enters a contactor (100) where the air contacts water distributed on the contact media (106). After passing through the contactor (100), the air is saturated at a temperature equal or close to that of the water. Water temperature is controlled by a refrigeration system (146). The air is passed through a temperature controlled heater (138) and a desired dry-bulb temperature and humidity are obtained. Before exiting, the air may be passed through a filter (152).
