DEVICE FOR SCARING OFF APPROACHING BIRDS

A device for scaring off approaching birds for generating an environment inaccessible by pigeons and the like by using fake birds mimicking raptorial birds considered to be natural enemies of pigeons and crows, the device including a number of variations according to an installation environment; one example is that a flexible post is erected, a fake bird is attached to the tip end of the post and the post is allowed to run unattended along a rail to oscillate the tip end of the post and the fake bird by its running vibration; another example is that a balancing rod attached with a fake bird at one end thereof and a balance at the other end is rotated by a variable-speed motor and the circling height of the fake bird is changed with a change in the motor's revolution speed; still another example is that a fake bird is attached to the tip end of a post bent in an L-shape and the post is rotated by a variable-speed motor to thereby change a flying mode of the fake bird by changing the motor's revolution speed.
