METHOD FOR SYNCHRONIZING DEVICES IN A BUS

In order to synchronize local clocks of devices in a bus (7) comprising a master (5), a reference clock (6) and several slaves (1-4), the master (5) sends an interrogation telegram (10) to the reference clock (6). The reference clock (6) responds thereto with a clock telegram (11) comprising the time, whereupon the master (5) sends a follow-up telegram (12). The slaves (1-4) measure a first time interval t_mci between the interrogation telegram (10) and the clock telegram (11) and a second time interval t_cmi between the clock telegram (11) and the follow-up telegram (12) in order to determine their position relative to the master and the clock and the running time T_pci between the reference clock (6) and the corresponding slave (1-4) and to change the time accordingly.
