An address is generated and transferred to a memory (13,14) via an address bus (12) to access memory area assigned to the address. Addresses are generated first in binary coded address word and then converted into corresponding Gray coded address word by a coder, especially Gray coder, integrated in the address bus driver (9). In Gray code two addresses following on each other only differ in one address bit. Hence each new address in Gray code only changes the applied voltage on one of the lines of the address bus. Alternatively the addresses are already in Gray code form in the program code. |
