<p>A peripheral base station information updating method for properly updating and setting peripheral base station information reported from a base station to mobile stations, wherein a mobile station acquires base station information of a base station that has transmitted perch channel from the perch channel received by the mobile station, and transmits the base station information to the base station. The base station receives the base station information, and updates peripheral base station information based on the base station information. For example, a perch channel is diffused into a wide band using a spreading code faster than an information rate, and is dually diffused by using a first spreading code group having the same repeating frequency as an information symbol frequency and being common to all the base stations and by using a second spreading code having a repeating frequency longer than an information symbol frequency and differing from base station to base station. A base station information consists of a second spreading code number used by a base station and phase information of the code.</p> |
