VACUUM SAMPLE COLLECTING TUBE AND METHOD OF COLLECTING SAMPLE UNDER VACUUM

A vacuum sample collecting tube and a method of collecting a sample under vacuum which are capable of preventing a pretreatment agent held in the vacu um sample collecting tube from entering a blood vessel even if a reverse flow o f a sample, such as blood should occur during a vacuum collection of a sample such as blood. The vacuum sample collecting tube comprising two bottomed tubular containers of different sizes opened at the other ends thereof and combined with each other so as to form a telescopic structure, wherein 1) th e open end of the inner container of the telescopic structure is sealed with a plug having gas barrier characteristics and a pinhole sealability with the interior of the inner container maintained in a vacuum condition, 2) the out er container of the telescopic structure is engaged liquid-tightly and detachab ly at the open end thereof with the portion of an outer circumferential surface of the inner container which is in the vicinity of the open end of the inner container without contacting an outer surface of a bottom portion of the inn er container, and 3) a space between the inner and outer containers holds there in a pretreatment agent for the sample.
