OPTICALLY ACTIVE PYRROLOPYRIDAZINE COMPOUNDS

Optically active pyrrolopyridazine compounds having the general formula (I) or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof: (wherein R<1> is alkyl; R<2> and R<3> are each independently alkyl; R<4> is optionally substituted aryl; and A is imino, oxygen, or sulfur). The compounds and the salts exhibit an excellent inhibitory activity against the secretion of gastric hydrochloric acid, a protective activity for the gastric mucus, and an excellent antimicrobial activity against Helicobacter pylori, and are useful as drugs, particularly preventive or therapeutic agents for ulcerative diseases.
