Sampling and processing method for determination of grey value of optically scanned object, involves using interpolation processing

The process involves using three correction elements each of which relate to different light reflection characteristics. The grey values of the elements are predetermined and stored. The object is then sampled and the light reflection characteristics are compared with those of the correction elements in order to fix two correction values. These are used in an interpolation process to fix the grey value. Independent claims are included for a scanning unit.
