The method involves using a non deterministic digital noise generator that is provides by a two non inverting Schmitt triggers (0,6). These have outputs to T flip-flops (1,7) and one of these combines with a halved clock signal in a. exclusive-Or gate (3). Signals are combined in a 97 stage shift register (5) to generate the true random number. An Independent claim is included for a random number generator device.
