The ball-and-socket joint comprises a ball shaft (1), a socket (2) and an injected elastomer (3). The difference in internal diameter between the top and bottom of the socket is 1 - 2 mm. This allows shaping of the lower peripheral area (6) to an external angle (21) of 30 deg and an internal angle (22) of 45 deg . After this shaping a lower section (8) is adjusted to the outer diameter of the ball, leaving a gap (4). A seal (5) arranged in this in a position where it cooperates with a tool (9). The space between the internal surface of the socket and the ball is then filled by injecting an elastomer.
