The microscope object carrier (3) has a visible line grid (8) provided on the side supporting the microscope object by an applied transparent plastics foil (7), adhered to the surface of the microscope object carrier via an adhesive, or by an electrostatic force and having a heat expansion coefficient matched to that of the microscope object carrier. An Independent claim for an application of a line grid foil to a transparent object carrier is also included.
