<p>A screw mechanism, wherein a pair of washers (4, 4) each having an inclined surface (6) which is turned around spirally at a lead angle β smaller than the lead angle α of a thread and of which both ends are connected to each other at an axial step surface (7) are provided between a tightening side thread member (1) and a member to be tightened (3) in the state that these inclined surfaces (6) are in contact with each other and, with a clearance provided, by a pre-set angle, between the step surfaces (7, 7), an initial tightening is performed, and the tightening side thread member (1) is rotated for tightening until the step surfaces (7, 7) are brought into contact with each other, whereby an axial tightening force in proportion to a rotating angle thereof is generated so that a tightening force can be controlled surely and accurately.</p> |
