A card-receiving device for a communication apparatus, such as a handheld device or a personal computer card, and for receiving a circuit card (4), such as a SIM-card, includes a body member (9) having a card-receiving portion (10) and a guide means (16) allowing movement of the body member to be performed in relation to a printed circuit board (19) of said communication apparatus, and a switch means (22, 23) for controlling an electric circuit interfacing and/or powering said circuit card (4). According to the invention, said switch means (22, 23) includes a first contacting means (22) adapted to directly contact a second contacting means (23) of said printed circuit board (19) for enabling said electric circuit. |
