PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit which inspects a perfectiveness of a separating lid device set to each opening formed to a strip-shaped wrapping material, controls a quality of the setting of the lid device to the wrapping material and can inspect while a wrapping machine is operating. SOLUTION: The control unit includes a contact face 21 and a detection circuit 26 for judging a perfectiveness of a lid device which is set to each opening formed to a strip-shaped wrapping material 4 and which consists of a patch member and a separation tongue part thermally sealed to the patch member. The contact face 21 has a working potential Va and forms one plate of a capacitor 23 in cooperation with a face of the wrapping material having the patch member. The detection circuit 26 is connected to an aluminum thin film of the wrapping material 4 which forms the other plate of the capacitor 23 and to the contact face 21, and detects a current related to a change of a dielectric strength of a dielectric body of the capacitor 23. When a minute hole defect is present in the patch member, a dielectric strength of a material between a roller 11 and the aluminum thin film of the wrapping material 4 decreases and a measured potential Vm decreases. The presence of the minute hole in the patch member is indicated by the decrease of the measured potential Vm to smaller than a reference potential Vf. |
