<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain good image quality concerning vertical resolution and noise by shifting an inevitable encoding error to a pixel mostly having pixel value when the exact luminous expression of given pixel value is not achieved. SOLUTION: The formation of one error in order to encode the pixel values 36 and 52 by using a bit line repetitive algorithm is unavoidable, i.e., the replacing of the pixel value 36 with the pixel value 37 or the replacing of the pixel value 52 with the pixel value 51 is necessary. Nevertheless, the one error to the 36 values is stronger than the one error to the 52 values in the human sight system. Then, the pixel values 36/51 are replaced with the pixel values 36/51 and this pixel pair is encoded. A table is used in the algorithm, and an entry is compared with respect to the pixel values of the pixel pair and the best one is selected from the corresponding sub-field code word pair according to a rule. The BLR noises can be drastically decreased by this changed bit line repetition method.</p> |
