PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure of an overhang plate of a base isolation building capable of reducing weight of the overhang plate, capable of simplifying even an installing structure to the upper structure, hardly exerting influence on base isolation performance and capable of realizing a nonrestrictive construction plan, excellent workability and cost reduction. SOLUTION: In this support structure of a overhang plate sprung out of an upper structure (a building unit) 2 of a base isolation building, the overhang plate 5 is relatively displaceable supported by a slide support mechanism 10 on a porch step 4 having one end 5a connected to the upper structure 2 and the other end 5b arranged on a ground side, and is constituted so as to support dead weight of the overhang plate 5 and a part of a load acting on the overhang plate 5 by the slide support mechanism 10, and the slide support mechanism 10 is composed of a base member fixed to the ground side and a height position adjusting member for adjusting a height to the base member.
