PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare pure water suitable to drink from initial operation by setting a composite semipermeable membrane module on a membrane separating process and forming the anion surface active agent concentration demonstrating a proper value in a permeating water prepared after the pure water is pressurized and passed through under specified conditions. SOLUTION: A composite semipermeable module having a composite semipermeable membrane as a constituting element forming a crosslinking polyamide membrane composed of a polyfunctional amine and a polyfunctional acid halide under the presence of an anion surface active agent is formed on the surface of a porous substrate by the in-situ interfacial polymerization process. The anion surface active agent remaining on the composite semipermeable module is sufficiently cleaned, removed and fitted on a membrane separating process, and the composite semipermeable membrane module is so manufactured as to provide the anion surface active agent concentration of less than 0.2 mg/L, preferably less than 0.02 mg/L, more preferably 0.01 mg/L in the permeated water prepared after pressure pressing the pure water for 10 minutes under the conditions of 0.3 Mpa operation pressure, 25 deg.C water temperature and 30% recovery.
