PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality image by preventing defects from becoming visible even when such defects are generated. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recording medium having at least a yellow coloring material layer is used together with another color thermal transfer recording medium which has at least another color coloring material layer accepting yellow and the difference in coefficient of elasticity between the outermost surface layer of the medium having at least a yellow coloring material layer and that of the medium which has at least another color coloring material layer, is at least 10 dyn/cm2. Alternatively, the difference in surface energy between the outermost surface layer of the medium having at least a yellow coloring material layer and that of the medium which has at least another color coloring material layer, is at least 10 dyn/cm. |
