PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end tab for welding which enables fitting work of the tab to a backing strip to be done easily and precisely. SOLUTION: The end tab 10 for welding is arranged on the backing strip 3 at the both sides of a weld zone 4 in its longitudinal direction when a 1st base metal and a 2nd base metal are welded in a state where the backing strip 3 is attached to the backside of the 2nd base metal. The end tab 10 is provided with an end tab main body 11 at the both side faces of which flat faces 14 which can be in contact with the side end faces of the 1st and 2nd base metals are formed and at the lower part of which a recessed part 19 which fits to the backing strip 3 is formed and with an energizing means 12 which is provided integrally with the end tab main body 11 and performs the positioning of the end tab main body 11 with respect to the backing strip 3 and holds the strip 3 by pressing a reference face 20 on one side of the opposing side faces of the recessed part 19 for fitting, with contact with the back strip 3. |
