PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission system, which can prevent the quality deterioration of transmitting signals accompanying the instantaneous amplitude fluctuation of frequency-multiplexed signals and is less in distortion. SOLUTION: A detecting section 101 outputs a detect signal regarding the amplitude fluctuation of inputted frequency-multiplexed signals and an amplitude control section 102 adjusts the amplitude of the frequency-multiplexed signals, based on the detect signal. A modulating section 108 converts the amplitude-adjusted frequency-multiplexed signals into prescribed modulated signals and a combining section 103 combines the modulated signals with the detect signal. A light transmitting section 104 converts the combined signals into optical signals and sends the optical signals to an optical transmission line, etc., and a light receiving section 105 again converts the optical signals received through the optical transmission line, etc., into electric signals. A separating section 106 separates the electric signals into the modulated signals and detect signal and a demodulating section 109 demodulates the modulated signals and outputs the frequency-multiplexed signals. An amplitude adjusting section 107 reproduces the original amplitude fluctuation by adjusting the amplitude of the frequency-multiplexed signals, based on the detect signal. |
