PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-piece solid golf ball with a very soft and good hitting feel at the time of hitting and the high resilience and excellent flying performance without lowering work efficiency in manufacture, etc. SOLUTION: This golf ball comprises a core 4 consisting of a center 1 and more than one middle layer 2 and a cover 3 covering the core 4. The middle layer 2 includes at least one layer made of a rubber composition comprising 20-60 weight parts ofα,β-unsaturated calboxylic acid or its metal salt and 5-70 weight parts ofα,β-unsaturated calboxylic acid ester relative to 100 weight parts of the base rubber material.
