SMOKING INSECTICIDAL COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the useful subject composition capable of providing controlling effects of insects inhabiting behind a thing or at a corner in a space where a volatile chemical can hardly reach, such as a warehouse and a kitchen by including a specific amount or more of a sparkling agent capable of generating a gas in a specified amount or more. SOLUTION: The objective smoking insecticidal composition comprises 1-30 wt.% insecticidal component and 70-99 wt.% organic sparkling agent (preferably containing 0.5-1.5 g azodicarbonamide per m3 volume to be smoked) in an amount so that the gas to be generated may be >=100 ml per m3 volume to be smoked. The insecticidal component is preferably one or more kinds selected from pyrethroid-based insecticides (e.g. phenothrin) and carbamate-based insecticides. An acaricide, a growth inhibitor of an insect, an antifungal agent, an antibacterial agent or the like can be formulated therewith besides them.
