PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability during laccase storage period by decreasing the oxygen concentration in a composition lower than a specific weight percent. SOLUTION: A deodorant composition is prepared by blending of an effective deodorant component with laccase. The formulating quantity of laccase into the formulation is determined by the form of the composition, using frequency, processing time, and the titer of enzyme agent. The oxygen concentration of the composition added with laccase is lower than 0.00015% in weight. This oxygen concentration reducing methods are, for instance, removal of dissolved gas in the composition by degassing, and aeration with inactive gas such as nitrogen. As an example, nitrogen gas is passed through a solution prepared by adding laccase of about 0.0005-0.0125% in weight to a succinic acid buffer solution to keep a predetermined oxygen concentration. When the solution is sealed and preserved, the storage stability is better than the case without sealing, and the activity can be kept longer.
