PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sharply reduce the replacement work period of a filter of a cylindrical filter drum, without lowering filtration efficiencies and to partially replace the filter, which is expendable. SOLUTION: In the filter device wherein a filter 20 is detachably mounted in an opening 2 formed in the outer circumferential surface of a cylindrical filter drum 1, which is rotationally driven, in the drum 1, a pair of first mount surfaces 3a, 3b is formed in the rotation direction of the drum at the opposite edges thereof, while a pair of second mount surfaces 5a, 5b is formed in a direction parallel with the rotation center line 4 of the drum. The opening 2 is divided into a plurality of sections, and bolts 6 each of which is operated between a fixing point and a release point, mount holes 10 each of which is adapted to be fitted on the bolt 6, the filter 20 for covering the opening 2, and a frame body 30 the entire length of which can be varied and kept as it is, are provided.
