PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fundus camera that allows easy setting of optimum exposure even in a manual mode. SOLUTION: A table is provided which stores photographic requirements or the indices (points) of exposure for different conditions of the eye to be examined, and either the set photographing requirement or the total of indices corresponding to the detected conditions of the eye to be examined are calculated. Exposure that matches the total of the indices is read for display. Since the exposure automatically set at an optimum according to the set photographic requirements or the condition of the eye to be examined is displayed, optimum exposure can be set easily by consulting the table even when images are to be taken in a manual mode.
