PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the clutch operation device for double bearing fishing reel. SOLUTION: The spool main body (1) is provided between both side plates 2 and 3 of the reel main body (1). The handle (6) is attached to one of the right or left side plate and linked through the rotation transmission mechanism to the spool 5 drivably. The clutching mechanism is provided in the rotation transmission mechanism. The clutching off operation part 18 for switching off the clutch mechanism is set at the rear of the spool of the reel main body 18. Further, the clutch-on operation part 25 is extended to the clutch-off operation part 18 so that switched clutching mechanism that is switched off may be turned to on. In addition, the clutch off operation part 18 and the clutch on operation part 25 are arranged almost in the U-shape.
