PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form the longitudinal size of an outboard motor in a compact manner by preventing a cable holder for a remote control cable from protruding to the front of an engine cover and to improve appearance. SOLUTION: A longitudinally rotating throttle remote control lever 51 and a shift remote control lever 52 are situated between the throttle mechanism 36 of an engine rear part and the shift mechanism 46 of an engine front. The throttle remote control lever 51 is linked to the throttle mechanism 36 and the shift remote control lever 52 is linked to the shift mechanism 46. The throttle remote control lever 51 is remotely controlled by a throttle remote control cable 56 and the shift remote control lever 52 by a remote control cable 57. |
